E.A. KAHANE has focused on capturing joy, life, and her surroundings through photography. Her process of taking pictures has led to a diverse body of work ranging from portraits to landscape, still-lifes to large public celebrations. Documentation of events such as the Saint Patrick's Day Parade in New York or the Mille Miglia race in Italy are experiences that she captures through the lens. In turn, she uses the power of the exhibition and environment to transport the viewer. These collective engagements become personal through the camera and then, through the exhibition, collective once again.
After recording life through her photographic practice for several decades, the last several years have opened up an exploratory chasm and KAHANE has incorporated sculpture, wallpaper, and even furniture in her recent exhibitions.
